TexasStar Pharmacy is a proud member of the Texas Vaccine Program for Children and has been providing immunizations for patients from 2 months to adulthood. For children 18 years old and under who are uninsured or underinsured, there is very little cost for the immunizations. No appointment is required and after the necessary paperwork is completed, there is usually a very short wait.
Vaccinations are one of the simplest and least costly ways to stay well and the Center of Disease Control does an incredible job of sorting out the important realization that diseases do not pay any attention to political borders. Vaccines inject a dose of germ-like particles (usually weakened) into a child’s system. Healthy children’s systems can handle the load. Indeed, says Dr. Jeanne Santoli of the CDC, the amount of germ particles in vaccines is “very, very small compared to what any of us is exposed to any day that we are living.”
